Who's Who 6: Moreish

Of course, all those big temptations are easy. If you’re going to cave to them, then you’ve been doing that long before you got here. Just one more bottle to make the pain away. Just one more pack, so I can get through to the weekend. I’ll quit tomorrow. I’ll quit in the new year. I promise. It’s all a dance that goes on through endless, sleepless nights or restless, sweaty afternoons. There’s no sport in that type of addiction. Not for the likes of us.

The Fluff Launch - What's a good word for Aftermath?

Either last week’s blog is incredibly late or this week’s blog is incredibly early.  I’ll leave it up to you to decide.  I’ve got other things to try and worry about.  Like, for example, where to begin?  Seriously, where do you start something like this?  Last Thursday, in a little pub near the ring roads of Birmingham, I got on a stage in front of friends and family and launched my second horror novel.  Which is not to say I threw a book at my friends at family.  Well, not physically anyway.

Tender

There’s about to be a change on The Blank Page.  Don’t worry, it’s nothing major.  I’m not about to start blogging only in Wingdings or turn this whole thing into a either raging diatribe on why I should run the world or why old Thomas the Tank Engine will always be superior to its modern incarnation.  Although, for the record, I think I’d make a pretty good world leader.  But don’t we all, right?

Of pumpkins and boxes

Hey, Internet, it’s good to be back amongst you.  After a couple of chaotic weeks and some incredibly painful days without any sort of signal that belongs in the 21st century, The Blank Page is up and running again.  I’d call it 2.0, but let’s not fool ourselves.  We’re in for more of the same here.  The overly long posts and occasional reveries that don’t quite add up to a bigger pay cheque.  Still, that’s hardly the attitude to start on.  The Longs have moved finally moved house.  Let’s begin there.
